The Problem:
The environmental need was to address buildup inside existing roof fans due to the high moisture and residue content in the air being exhausted. This buildup created a severe labor-intensive maintenance issue every month, requiring a two-man maintenance team to lift off the entire fan from its roof curb in order to clean out the interior of the fan.
The Solution:
The solution was to replace the existing fans with the Hartzell Series 69S swing-out roof fan, allowing a much less labor-intensive and time consuming cleaning maintenance of the fans. While the premium fan selection would have been a stainless-steel version of the Series 69S fan, to more adequately stay within the customer's budget, RWE supplied the epoxy-coated steel version with stainless-steel hardware.
